What is eBay?
eBay is the world's largest online marketplace with more than 220 million members who actively use eBay as a place to shop, sell, communicate, pay bills - it is a community online with unfathomable loyalty by it's members to go about their business whenever possible inside of eBay. That means travel suppliers, sellers and resellers have the chance to promote and sell their products directly to this large pool of international customers from 33 countries!
What is unique about eBay versus a traditional online travel website?
There are many unique features within eBay that set it apart from other third party websites or online travel sites such as Expedia, Hotel.de, Lastminute.com. The top 5 unique points (we believe are benefits) are:
1. You the seller is the owner of the customer - not a third party. You benefit from selling by positioning your product and building awareness along with lucrative revenue growth over time
2. eBay is driven by the auction sale model. This is the bet way to win the best sale price for any single product or package.
3. A single auction will attract between 200 to 300 unique visitors each time - therefore for an average cost of 25 cents to list a product there is no were a more inexpensive marketing tool anywhere in the world. 200 unique visitors via Google paid key words or Yahoo would cost you almost USD 100 with no GUARANTEE OF SELLING ANYTHING!
4. You are the seller and therefore you own the CUSTOMER
5. On average 5% of all sold vouchers are never redeemed by the buyer – this means you make a 100% profit on these sales!
What is an auction?
An auction on eBay is when a seller has a product they want to sell and are prepared to let the buyers make bids against one and other during a 3, 5, 7 or 10 day auction sell period until in the last 1 hour of the auction selling all those who have bid and are still interested will be swept up by the fever of the auction and do almost anything to outbid their competitor. Ladies and Gentlemen this is a game, it has excitement and is not always about the cheapest deal!
What is the starting price for the auctions?
The best and most effective starting price is recommended at the lowest denominator for any given currency available via eBay. e.g, 1 EUR or 1 GBP or 1 USD or 1 RS or 1 AUD.
IMPORTANT: The higher the start price the more expensive are your eBay fee's for that transaction!
Can I start my auctions with a higher auction price than 1 Eur?
Yes you can but we strongly recommend against this or at least not as a single approach. Here is the best approach:
- Start of your new life selling on eBay with a commitment of 20 to 50 auctions at the lowest start price, invest in your success, run a little risk, WE GUARANTEE IT WILL PAY DIVIDENDS OVER TIME!
- Once you have established your good trading name within eBay's secure community then you can run multiple packages on multiple markets and some with higher start prices or even fixed selling prices known on eBay as 'Buy it now'.

Do auctions ever not sell or sell for EUR 1.00?
Of cause some auctions do not work – usually though these are because the sellers sets a ‘to high start price’, has not respected the settling in period or is trying to dump too much product into the marketplace.
