New ‘CultBooking’ templates – design for more hotel bookings |
|
Established reservation system upgraded: – fully editable room categories and package offers – binding reservation through PMS connection via ‘CultSwitch’ Berlin, 02 Nov 2011
Greater sales success with Cultuzz: Following extensive usability testing, the well-known Berlin-based travel technology company is now offering hoteliers the newly designed ‘CultBooking’ reservation engine. It boasts five new templates and a quick booking form. All room categories and packages are freely configurable. This further increases the importance of direct selling for hotels aside from through powerful booking portals such as hrs.de, hotel.de and booking.com.
Dr. Reinhard Vogel, Managing Director of Cultuzz Digital Media GmbH, Berlin, explained: “Our hotel customers wanted an online shop for their homepage where they could offer their wide-ranging services and products for booking. We have upgraded ‘CultBooking’ and developed booking forms in cooperation with our customers that meet all kinds of requirements.”
The new templates allow for many different product formations and ensure a highly convenient booking experience. Room types, packages and services are shown on one page. They differ in the emphasis on individual features and in size.

ITB 2011 - 10 Year Anniversary |
|
ITB 2011 turned into a Great Ten Year Anniversary! This year at ITB, Cultuzz was overwhelmed by the high increase of visitors on its stand. In fact, over 90% of all visitors were new potential customers, who seemed to be lured onto the stand by this year's motto: "eBay books your hotel". Cultuzz is the only service provider worldwide able to connect to eBay's API via a strong XML connection. This enables Cultuzz to offer its CultBay customers the opportunity to sell rooms live on eBay with a direct booking option after purchase. Selling rooms on eBay has numerous advantages: 1. Access to 275 million unique customers 2. Control of your hotels content and marketing appearance online 3. Prepard and non-refundable bookings and, the list goes on. "The ITB is our home base and exhibiting in Berlin offers us a great opportunity to show high potentials from all over the world what Cultuzz has to offer", said Ted Montreal, Director of Sales and Marketing. ITB 2010 was a great show, indeed! In the 10 year history of Cultuzz, never before have so many new customers and partners been signed up on a public fair. And, if that wasn't enough, the number of visitors from loyal customers and partners was tremendous. It was fantastic meeting face-to-face and discussing new opportunities for business expansion.

RateTiger integrates eBay as an additional channel Berlin, 31 Mar 2011
Cultuzz Digital Media GmbH, specialist in online distribution and the world’s largest service provider for eBay hotel bookings, has partnered with RateTiger to offer hoteliers an easier update on eBay alongside other distribution outlets. Cultuzz, via CultBay, is the only service provider worldwide that has implemented direct bookings for hotels on eBay. The agreement makes RateTiger the first channel manager able to distribute inventory and rates to eBay via the CultBay platform.
eBay has become the largest international online marketplace with 14% of global e-commerce and over 275 million users worldwide. “Hoteliers need to take advantage of both traditional online sales channels as well as exploring new opportunities to secure bookings and generate more revenue,” said Sascha Hausmann, CEO, eRevMax. “eBay is the largest ecommerce platform in the world and the opportunities for the travel industry are immense. Our connection will make updates seamless for hotels.”
“Hotels have been using eBay successfully as a sales channel for a number of years now,” said Dr Reinhard Vogel, Founder and CEO, Cultuzz. “Selling rooms on eBay offers hotels access to a unique customer base and enables hoteliers to steer guests towards low seasons and periods of low occupancy. And, the beauty of it all, bookings on eBay are prepaid and nonrefundable. The channel management connection with RateTiger will make the update and management process easier and help hotels maintain better rate strategies.”
eBay will become an additional channel within RateTiger to sell rooms and update rates and inventory as per the sales platform’s rules. Cultuzz works with some of the world’s leading hoteliers on eBay including: Marriott, Renaissance, Hilton, Radisson Blu, Park Inn, Intercontinental, Choice Hotels International, Ramada Worldwide, Sol Melia, Swissotel Hotels and Resorts, Millennium.
